| | Innovative User Interface, IT and marketing at work for prominent National Car Rental Company ARISING was given an assignment from a prominent discount national car rental company to increase revenues. The Arising plan targeted an increase its online booking efficiency and overall user experience as linchpin in the increase of revenues. In a highly competitive car rental market, increases in online revenue and market share is a significant challenge. Arising’s IWS team was to be a significant test of its capabilities. The IWS team members recognized that they would have to deliver innovative interfaces, applications and service to meet the stated criteria. Working with host company’s internal IT and marketing teams, the process began with internal audits and external comparables in rental car industry. Within a short time, the Arising team was fully integrated into the teams of the host company—thinking as one mind acting on mutually honed strategies—combined with, creative thinking, the designers and software architects analyzed the information, and then completed a detailed and multi-phased roadmap for this customer. The full project plan was approved allowing the Creative and IT teams begin its time sensitive work. They proposed various design concepts featuring new user interface to simplify and enhance the web user booking experiences. This simple yet elegant approach for an easy to use and visually appealing web interface was an instant success. The software engineers integrated the innovative user Interface(UI) with the most current technology such as Ajax, Web 2.0, and mobile technologies. The actual development of the software components took less than 6 months. The system architect also choose mature free opensource frameworks & component for this project. Not only it save varied server and software license fees per year, but, this innovative web"front end" architect enabled our customer to scale up quickly to meet the increased traffic demands—resulting in an immediate and measurable increase in sales. National awards recognitized this successful "Phase I" project implementation were presented in February 2008. The ARISING IWS team has demonstrated in its immediate capability and its potential for further contributions to this new customer company in a matter of just a few months. The IWS team is now preparing its next plans to continue the innovation into additional sectors of the Company. |
